Hobby: My latest craze!

Friday, February 19th, 2010

I found a new hobby. Due to lack of accessibility to refrigerator over the last couple of months, my craze for making Konnyaku Jelly has cooled down.

I have been thinking real hard, how I even found this latest craze. I think it is after Steven and I got back from Ikea. I learnt the word quilt and started googling for it and there comes my obsession and finally decided to seriously just do it!

I found a tutorial class very near my place! It’s a God sent! Ask and you shall receive! ;D Thank you, dear God. The shop opened the day after I googled for it, literally! Now, you see what I mean? I even managed to go to the opening ceremony of the shop! I believe I am most probably the first student after the shop opened!

;)

Anyway, please see my first project below. Not too sure, if I can keep the interest for long. But I will definitely go for a few more classes and projects before making any hasty decisions… like getting a sewing machine! Hehe. ;D

Yeap, I sewed it for Steven as Valentine’s gift. Hehe. And he is using it! So sweet of him! ;D

I got a new Toy! ;D

Steven got me a new Toy for my Birthday. ;D

My previous phone had served me faithfully for 4+years, Sony Ericsson’s Clamshell phone.

This babe had gone through thick and thin with me. I will keep it with me for memory’s sake.

With my new toy, I can now log online via my mobile anywhere, anytime! Thanks Stevie Dearie!!

This lil baby can take absolutely beautiful pictures. Just to prove my point, I will post a couple of pictures here. ;D

May God Bless You Exceedingly (a sonnet for the sweet and humble) - By Nordette Adams

Wednesday, November 25th, 2009

Today has been a very heart warming day. The wife of a friend has finally waken up from a deep deep sleep that lasted a full moon and starting to gain memory of the people around her especially her dear husband and baby son.

“Friends, may His grace and mercy shine sweet light
upon your lives this day and times beyond.
May His wings shadow you when you take flight.
With your fresh dreams, let not a thief abscond.
Let love from dawn to dawn reign in your world.
Let peace know home within your heart always.
Let no vile creatures crush your precious pearls.
Let joy join you and keep you all your days.
When you take rest upon each day’s relent,
may He whose gift is sleep bless you with dreams,
with this your rest is fully heaven sent,
so may you rise with wisdom in full streams.
I send this blessing to your door because
you’ve shown me you seek love and not applause.”

My dear friend, may God continue to bless you and keep you well.

Food: Fruits & Jelly

Tuesday, June 9th, 2009

Right after I close the lid of the soup, I proceeded to prepare some Konnyaku Jelly. These 3 packs of fruits were great bargain! More than enough to make Konnyaku and they cost less than 1/3 of what I normally spend on fruits for the Konnyaku, and best of all, they tasted real Sweet!

:D

Leftover fruits for my snacks… it’s Mine… All MINE!

Food: Herbal soup with Carrots and Radish

Monday, June 8th, 2009

Today is a replacement leave for me. It is superbly fun not having to work on a Monday!

After lunch with the Boy at 7 Village, we went to do a bit of shopping at Jusco Bandar Perda, primarily to get some ingredients for soup and Konnyaku jelly. Hehe… oh ya, and also for marmite.

He got ecstatic seeing this!

Off to work… I mean cook, ermm… I mean play… Hahaha…

First prepare a pot of water to boil, then wash the herbs and throw in.

Herbs

1. Wai san

2. Red dates

3. Kei Qi

4. Tong sum

5. Some ginseng roots

6. Yoke Chok

Then, start to cut the Carrots and Local Radish. Once done throw the carrots in. Keep the radish aside.

Skin the meat and throw in once the water boils.

Once the water boils again, throw in the radish.

Close the lid and let it brew for 2 hours.

Tada!

:D
